Hi all,

The mod needs to be reworked in that many of the mods it searches for with modCheck are now defunct, reposted, or namechanged;

It also needs to be updated to 1.1;

More feet and more mod support is always welcomed as well.

—–However, none of this will be done by me, as I’m done working on this mod. I am tired of comments about it– I am too busy with school and my art, and it is not feasible for me.——-

If anyone wants to take over the files of this mod, they are free to do so. It was not my creation in the first place; I merely updated Kiliface’s mod and added assets to it.

INTRO: One of the things I found lacking in Alien Faces was that only one hand type was available- human. The main bulk of this mod is adding alien hands and feet to custom races. I aim to do much more with the mod as it progresses, but I had enough work done I thought some people might like it.

SUPPORTED MODS: Astoriel, Avian Races, Beast Men Tribes, Callistans, ChJees’ Androids, Crystalloids, Equiums, Erisss’ Avali, Fantasy Goblin, Ferians, Ferrex, Lighter Than Fast, Logann, Mister Manson’s Gnolls, Ni’Hal, Orassans, Racc, Sergals&Gnolls&Lions(Minus sergals– I still need to draw them a foot asset), Twi’lek, Xenn, and Zabrak.

KNOWN INCOMPATIBILITIES:
AndroidTiers robots- The hands and feet do not draw for some reason even if the race is added to the .xml.

—-Limitation: hands and feet are bundled together and cannot be mixed and matched– this is due to how Killiface wrote the code to only look for the handType name, even when looking for feet. ——-


  • Hey there. I spent the whole day trying to make a compatibility patch for the Yautjas (AvP mod). I ended up with almost functionnal animations but sill I get a recurrent error when they spawn : Exception drawing Wendigo: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object at FacialStuff.CompFace.PostDraw () [0x00000] in :0 at Verse.ThingWithComps.Comps_PostDraw () [0x00000] in :0 at Verse.ThingWithComps.Draw () [0x00000] in :0 at Verse.DynamicDrawManager.DrawDynamicThings () [0x00000] in :0 Verse.Log:Error(String, Boolean) I checked and double-checked the patch code, any clue on this ?Thanks and awesome mod btw !
  • Sorry for reposting! Love your mod. My problem now is with Android Tier Mod. [1.0] Android tiers By: AtlasThe T5 android got a naked skin body of a normal pawn, with foot and hands, while maintaining the robotic face orginal from the mod. I tried to deactivated alien faces extended (your mod) and the T5 android recovered its nice full metal body. Could you please fix it? Or at least make a code to bypass (i have no idea in coding, sorry if I’m a making a dumb question) for your mod to not interact with Android Tiers? Ill post the debug log soon. Thanks in advance.PS: already tried to speak with the modder from android tier, he told me to ask you, he tried to look but didnt find anything.
  • There is absolutely planned LTF support as I use that mod myself, however I have to contact the LTF author directly and see how friendly he is to his assets being messed around with. It would require some extra coding that removes the addon part of Mantis hands but wouldn’t be super hard, however adding in the hands as a Alien Faces part means I would have to rip his asset. Some mod authors don’t like their assets bieng in other mods. If he does not want me to rip the mantis hand asset there will be support for every race but Mantis.
  • Yep, sadly no special bodies. Does support special faces though. Andriod Tiers with this mod kind of breaks the game– most of the Androids don’t get hands and feet or any new parts at all, a lot of them refuse to animate, and in general it is a mess. I spoke with the mod author personally to try to fix it to no avail. Anything classified as an additional alien part in its .xmls, ears tails etc., bob. Doesn’t work for things like the Xenn tails because the tail is drawn onto the body texture instead of an extra part. For orassans their ears and tails are indeed classified as extra parts so they do bob. Banks copy and paste one of the random alien’s .xml files then replace the , defname= ‘Alien_whateveryoucopied’, and tags with the names of your race and mod. The other tags in there are pretty self explanatory. Make sure every place that says the old alien name is replaced with the new, using a ctrl-f Find and Replace.
