Show Draftees Weapon

MOD Desc
Shows a pawn’s weapon icon on the colonist bar.

When a pawn has been drafted their equipped weapon icon will display under the pawn’s avatar on the colonist banner. New mod settings have been added to allow weapons to be shown regardless of a pawn’s drafted status and while they are traveling. The settings can be accessed via… Options > Mod Settings > Show Draftee’s Weapon.

Settings:
– Show When Not Drafted – When checked weapons display regardless of the pawn’s drafted status.
– Show When Traveling – When checked weapons display when pawns are traveling, and their drafted status meets the Show When Not Drafted setting.

Compatibility:
– Will work with existing saves
– Can be enabled/disabled without issue
– This mod should be compatible with mods that don’t change the Colonist Bar. That said, if you run into issues try changing this mod’s load position to be before/after other mods.

  • could an option be added where if you hold down a hotkey it shows the weapons even if not drafted. I find only showing the weapons while drafted is very useful for telling which pawns are drafted, bus sometimes it is nice to be able to view all the weapons at once so I can see who might need to change weapons.It could also be nice to have an option to show utility items.
  • Im actually having the same issue as WhiskeyJack, you might have installed mods changing your load order. I had the same issue and any mods added had to remain below the Show drafter weapon which is an issue with mods that need to go higher in the load order. To solve this, add show drafter weapons on top of your load order (higher than your libraries, lower than Harmony) and the issue should go away.
  • i wonder if a small background could be added to the weapon, as they look like they’re in the game on the ground sometimes and it’s a bit distracting. maybe like a small wood plaque or… idk, just something to distinguish the weapon a bit more. A slight glow? idk is there an effect that could be easily done? not meaning to add any work it’s a good mod as is.

  • Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. Adding an option to the Colonist Bar KF mod so the weapon can be displayed as this mod does would be the way to go.This mod would be easily implemented in the Colonist Bar KF mod. In fact I believe he already shows the weapon in the bar, just not the same way. I think you should ask that modder to implement an option to show the weapon as this mod does. I bet it’s easy enough to implement in his mod that he could make the change in about 10 minutes.
