[RF] More Trait Slots [b18]

MOD Desc
B19 VERSION (by Kiame Vivacity) AVAILABLE HERE: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1508292711
‘More Trait Slots’ is a pretty simple mod. It doesn’t add new traits to the game, but it will work well with mods that do, as it allows you to configure the minimum and maximum number of traits that pawns will start with. It also adjusts the character display tab so that up to seven (or up to nine with a smaller font) traits can actually be seen.

– Rainbeau Flambe (dburgdorf)

‘More Trait Slots’ can safely be added to or deleted from a game in progress, and shouldn’t conflict with any other mods.

If you’re using ‘EdB Prepare Carefully,’ you might see a warning message if you assign more traits to a pawn than the vanilla character tab would be able to display, but you can safely ignore that message. And you should have no other issues when using the two mods together.

I’m aware of one conflict, and unfortunately, there’s nothing I can do about it. There’s an NSFW mod called ‘RimJobWorld’ which completely replaces the code that creates the character display tab. The changes that ‘More Trait Slots’ makes to that code get ignored along with the core code, and as a result, while your pawns will still have extra traits, the character tab won’t be altered to allow you to actually see them.

The German language translation file was provided by Maculator.

The mod utilizes Pardeike’s ‘Harmony Patch Library.’ (No additional download is required, as the library is included with the mod.)

If you’re a modpack maker and want to include ‘More Trait Slots’ in your pack, or if you’re a modder and want to use it as the basis of a derivative mod, please feel free to do so. I ask only that you let me know about it.

The Ludeon forums discussion thread for my mods can be found here[ludeon.com].

If you have any (helpful) suggestions for improvement, please let me know!

My mods are free, but if you’d like to buy me a Dr Pepper[ko-fi.com], I wouldn’t complain.

Best small company studio game ever!
+Modding; modding community grow stronger everyday, there are a lot of mods, for different versions of game.
+Replay value; doing same thing over and over in this game, won’t bore you as fast as it would in other games.
+Difficulty; from peaceful builder, to random planetary 200x bandits annihilation at day 3…everyone will find something for themselves;
+Many mechanics; temperature; hunger; beautifullnes; sturdiness; flammability; trading; crafting; diplomacy; building and many many more;
+Developer who actually care about game, and what community has to say
+Optimalisation; should run even on lower end PC’s (not like those unreal 4 games…)
+Done and done; It’s development is roughly done, so modders can flourish now with mods on newest version of game.

-Genre; not everyone must likes colony/city/country/planet simulator games, but i have to say it’s best of it’s kind (i played few of them).
-Price may not seem the lowest, but taking to consideration how much time Tynan (Developer) spent time and effort creating this game, will make it more resonable.

I’ve played it for more than 1000h and it’s my favourite game alongside with Nier:Automata.
9/10 Would buy again! Real masterpiece!

Addictive, very, very addictive and I’m so glad I paid full price for this, I remember playing Dwarf Fortress many moons ago in 2014, got addicted to that as well.

The game is very easily customizable in how difficult you want to play from a ‘Walk in the Park with wild herbivore animals who try to kill you sometimes’, to ‘Australia Mode’, I personally started playing on the easiest settings and raised an amazing colony that I scrapped because I was still learning then I started again with a mod to let me make my own settlers, and I started with a lovely fox named Fifi, who wound up having 40+ children, had an alcohol addiction and found my Luciferium that was being reserved for a prisoner, her death marked the end of my game, and no, the Luci didn’t kill her, she died of old age, I miss her, alot, I’ve since started a newer game but playing on a more normal setting with more QOL mods, it’s just as fun and adds alot of dynamic just by playing off mode and into something with a hint of challange, been a little rough so far, but it’s been amazing, slow, but amazing.

I cannot recommend this game enough, don’t even bother buying on sale (If it ever goes on sale because it aparently doesn’t), just buy it, it’s well worth the money and I swear it should cost more.
